The RIMS Process
Control Box contains the following
pieces of equipment:
- Two Halogen
lamps, acting as the heat source
(actuators)..
- Two
Temperature Sensors, one at the
In Flow and the other at the Out
Flow.
- Two Fans,
One blowing air in, and the
other blowing air out.
- Two Light
Dependent Resistors (LDRs).
- Two
Microphones.
Sensors Included
Temperature Sensor:
LM 335 (gives a 10mV rise for 1
degree Kelvin rise) Light Sensor: a
simple LDR.
Voice:
A small microphone.
Actuators include:
Heat source: Halogen Lamp, driven by
AC Voltage, the intensity of which
may be varied from off position to
full heat, in 13 steps.
Two small fans:
one fan for blowing ambient
air into, the chamber, and the other
